Fall inspired paint by Annie Sloan: Fall looks we love

The temperature may be getting cooler, but that means our Chalk Paint by Annie Sloan™ inspiration is heating up! Fall is the perfect season for full body colours, warmth and indoor projects with the holiday season right around the corner! What a great time to get inspired with Annie Sloan™ paints to create that perfect discussion piece. We are falling in love with fall and by Annie Sloan™ fall colour palettes, and you will too with these fall inspiration pieces that will have your home fall ready – from simple Annie projects, to larger more complex ones, you choose what to fall in love with!

The Rustic Buffet:

Easily transform a living room or dining room space with a painted buffet with Annie Sloan™ colours and techniques. We love the rustic and homey look achieved through blended techniques and fall colours. This look can be achieved with an old antique piece, or a newly purchased piece, we love both to open up any space with a pop of colour or a blended cream rustic look.

Annie Sloan™ Colours:  Emperor’s Silk and Cream

We love this idea for fall and are very inspired to try it out in the store ourselves! These gorgeous pumpkins have come to life with classic Annie Sloan™ colours and really pop on the beautiful Annie Sloan™ Duck Egg Blue dresser. A different look to fall, but one that we would love to try out all month long. What a great way to experiment with Annie Sloan™ colour combinations and techniques on a textured surface. We are falling in love with this idea all the way to the pumpkin patch.

Anything in Emperor’s Silk

A bold, beautiful red that we have been dying to break out for the upcoming holiday season. It is so versatile, yet can transform a piece from dull to outstanding with its deep hues. It’s also a perfect pairing for Graphite, Napoleonic Blue and Duck Egg Blue-  or the colour combination of Olive, Versailles, and Scandinavian Pink for this beautiful layered look.  Possibilities are endless for pieces that would pop with this beautiful colour, think chairs, end tables, bookcases and picture frames!

Distressed Word Signs:

A DIY that is fun and really creates the atmosphere of a homey environment with this easy and fun Annie Sloan™project. Bring out your creative side with fonts, words and colour combinations for something that is truly unique to your home, or create festive sayings. Use an old piece of wood and paint the letters on yourself, or buy cutout letters, there is so much room for creativity with this project! Some of the signs we are eager to make include: Family, Gather, Cheers and Grateful and Gobble Gobble. They would look great on a painted Annie Sloan™ cabinet or buffet in a dining room or living room just in time for Thanksgiving!
