This is an older transformation from the Designer’s Workroom, but it’s so unique we wanted to share it with you. This old chair had great bones and great potential, it just need a designer’s eye and a little bit of creativity.
Our client wanted a chair for the children’s room at their cottage; a chair with as much personality as the kids that were meant to enjoy the room. We approached this re-design/re-upholstery with two themes, Muskoka feel and youth. What emerged was a chair with a ton of personality and slick design.
The fabric used on the chair was carried throughout the cottage bedroom through matching drapery and bedding. We chose the denim top fabric because of its durability, which is perfect to withstand the life with children. The stripped fabric and red contrast perfectly with the blue. It became the perfect piece for a child’s bedroom.
